A different kind of session.
We recorded a sound bath with harp at the Tomba dei Giganti di Iloi, one of the most powerful and atmospheric ancient sites in Sardinia.
The Place
Massive stones, arranged thousands of years ago.
Forming a long, open structure.
These sites are often linked to collective rituals and a connection to the ancestors.
Not as an idea.
As places that were actually used.
There is a certain presence here.
Not dramatic.
But undeniable.
The Session
Harp by Dalila.
Her presence changed the space immediately.
You could hear it in how the sound moved.
Two Layers
The harp did not sit on top of the sound.
It moved through the space differently.
Lighter.More fluid.
The crystal singing bowls did the opposite.
They grounded everything.
Two layers.
Air and earth.
Not separated.
But clearly distinct.
Sound and Stone
The structure of the place changes how sound behaves.
It does not disappear.
It returns.
Not as a clear echo.
More as a delayed presence.
As if the space holds the sound for a moment.
Then releases it again.
You don’t only hear the instruments.
You hear the place responding.
