ARKAIA was born from the belief that places hold memory.

Not simply history, but presence. A quiet energy that remains long after those who walked the land before us are gone.

Across Sardinia, ancient sacred wells, nuraghes, Domus de Janas and stone circles still shape the landscape. For thousands of years, these places have drawn people seeking water, shelter, ceremony, reflection and connection. Their original purpose may never be fully understood, yet their presence continues to be felt.

Long before ARKAIA existed, we found ourselves returning to these places again and again. Not because we had planned to build a brand around them, but because they became part of our own journey. We spent time there. We listened. We filmed. We observed the changing seasons. And we discovered that many of the wild plants we were already gathering grew in the very same landscapes.

Over time, a simple conviction began to grow.

A plant is shaped by more than its species.

It is shaped by the soil beneath it.

By the rain that reaches it.

By the wind that bends it.

By the silence that surrounds it.

And perhaps, by the memory of the place where it grows.

This belief became the foundation of ARKAIA.

When we gather herbs, we are not simply collecting botanical ingredients. We are entering landscapes that have carried meaning for generations. We believe the character of these places becomes part of the plants, and through them, part of everything we create.

This is not something we seek to prove.

It is something we choose to honour.

Every balm.

Every soap.

Every botanical creation begins long before it reaches our workshop.

It begins with a journey into the landscape.

Because for us, every place carries a story.

And some places never stop speaking.
