When the Moon Turns Blue

Torre del Porticciolo, Sardinia · May 2026 · Blue Moon in Scorpio · Sound Bath
Once every two to three years, the moon turns blue. We were ready for it.
A Blue Moon in Scorpio — the second full moon of the month, arriving at the furthest point from Earth in its orbit. Rare in every sense. When we found Torre del Porticciolo, a watchtower on the northwestern coast of Sardinia standing at the edge of the sea, we knew we had found the right place to welcome it.
The decision to film a Sound Bath here was not spontaneous. Every Arkaia session begins with a question: what does this place want to hold? Ancient stone, open water, and the last light of the day create a kind of natural resonance chamber. The tower has been standing for centuries. The sea has always been there. We brought the bowls.
The Blue Moon in Scorpio
A Blue Moon is rare enough. But a Blue Moon in Scorpio carries a particular quality — one that felt right for this kind of work. Scorpio governs the subconscious, emotions, depth. It invites what has been buried to rise. Not with force, but with permission.
At the same time, this was a Micro Moon — the Moon at its greatest distance from Earth. Its influence is subtler than usual, more focused. Less like a flood, more like a beam of light finding a specific point. Ideal for a deep, inward practice.
A time the ancients set aside for transformation, deep listening, and release. We went to the edge of Sardinia to prepare it for you.
The Blue Moon also carries double the manifestation energy of an ordinary full moon — a quality we took seriously when choosing the notes for the session. Every Arkaia Sound Bath is tuned to a specific intention. This one was tuned for emotional release and inner transformation.
Before You Listen — The Story Behind the Sound Bath
The main notes of this session are F and D. The D note carries the frequency of the sacral chakra — the center of emotion and intimacy — and resonates directly with Scorpio energy. The F note speaks to the heart chakra, accompanying the process of release with openness rather than force.
This session also works with the Solfeggio frequency of 417 Hz — traditionally associated with clearing stagnant energy and facilitating change. It moves quietly beneath the surface, loosening what has been held too long.
Together, these frequencies create a sonic space where the water element of Scorpio meets the grounding of Earth — which is exactly what the landscape at Torre del Porticciolo offers. Sea on one side. Ancient stone beneath. Sky above. The bowls found their place naturally.
The Place
Torre del Porticciolo sits on a promontory on the northwestern coast of Sardinia, near Alghero. Built as a coastal watchtower, it has been standing at the edge of the Mediterranean for centuries. The view opens in every direction — nothing between you and the horizon.
Filming at sunset was deliberate. The light changes fast here. One moment the stone is warm and golden, the next it drops into deep blue. That transition — from day to night, from heat to cool air, from sun to the first stars — mirrors exactly what the Blue Moon in Scorpio asks of us. A threshold. A moment of passage.
